Dental problems occur when bacteria in the mouth build up, causing infections in the oral cavity. They may also arise from acidity from foods and drinks and natural conditions.

Cavities occur when damaged teeth develop into holes it is caused by sugars combining with plaque-forming an acid which wears out the enamel .cavities can be prevented by; brushing teeth regularly, avoiding motion when brushing the teeth, reducing sugary intakes and foods with acid, visiting a dentist regularly so that plaque can be scraped from the teeth.
Oral cancer is caused by human papillomavirus, smoking, and using alcohol .oral cancer can be prevented by stopping smoking and also avoiding oral sex alcohol should also be avoided, getting vaccinated for HPV, visiting the dentist regularly who conducts an x-ray and able to figure it out on its early stages, protect your lips from the sun as ultraviolet radiation from the sunlight causes lip cancer.
Gingivitis is when the gums bleed easily, and the plaque below the gum causes it. It destroys the enamel and the jawbone. Gum problems can be prevented by maintaining good mouth hygiene, getting vitamin c, making sure your diet is balanced, drinking water to be hydrated, visiting the dentist to clean the mouth, brushing, and flossing the teeth every day.
It can be prevented by; avoiding drinking and eating very hot foods and drinks, curbing stress eliminating food irritants, rinse the mouth with salt.
Teeth become sensitive when the dentin is exposed, and enamel is worn away, teeth become sensitive for cold and hot foods .sensitivity can be prevented by maintaining a proper oral hygiene also using toothpaste which are for sensitive teeth
